LOCKDOWN HOUSE PARTY

Through the great challenge of staying indoors, a new era has arrived where turning up from your home is The Vibe! You are an elite member of the community as being part of the cool kids club who can have fun while playing your part in saving lives.

From the Quarantine Turn Up, came the Channel O Lockdown House Party! In case you missed the 2nd phase of this phenomenal vibe between Friday and Saturday the 3rd and 4th April, here's a little round up of each set. Friday, 3rd April. DJ PH Started things off Old School Hip Hop with RnB, serving us classics such as Jay and Bey's Drunk In Love, Elle Mai's Boo'd Up and Notorious BIG's Juice - feelings may have been caught.

The Afro Tech sensation Lebza The Villain came and started a riot from the get go with a pulsating performance, taking the tempo to its highest levels with his energy! Surely a lot of calories were burned through his firey performance and most definitely on his way up with his own wave, fusing the Tomorrowland type of sound with some indigenous African flavour. Freddy K & SJ Konka certainly held their nerve and gave a mature display of Piano vibes and had viewers dancing along as they kept the energy and tempo throughout. DJ Fresh - Took us to the good old days reminding everyone why we fell in love with him. Big Dawg came and destroyed, having put careful thought and maximum effort in his performance with additional team players on the piano and the drums - Hectic! Nobody was ready for Zakes Bantwini, as he showed off his DJ'ing skills, which had everybody up in arms in a dance-transe. His take on African tribal house is of another calibre, including doing his own vocals and adlibs - too much sauce from the legend! DJ Tira, AKA Makoya Berings concluded the night's proceedings. Although he is an undisputed legend in the game with over 2 decades of reigning ever so mightily in the music scene in general, his set was contentious to those who know his full capabilities. Saturday (4th April) Fi Fi Laaa - Started off proceedings with some old school hip hop n RnB, kicking us off with a beautiful display of rhythm and flow!

Lamiez Holworthy gave a whole-hearted performance, well worthy of all praise and acclamation and had viewers eating out of her hand. Clearly enjoying her set just as much as the viewers, smiling and dancing throughout, her set was insatiable and sent everybody into a frenzy of hearts were stolen. What's a party without a little Flava?! The ever consistent Mo Flava gave us a taste of summer, and took it right where Lamiez left off to a whole new level - What else would you expect though?

DJ Shimza brought the fire as usual. Also with some house music, he held it down and made us feel like whatever it feels like to be in Ibiza.

Amazing job from the main man, Mr One Man Show himself! Njelic - came through with soulful/mid tempo vibes and even blessed viewers with his incredible vocals too, some soul searching was needed and he took us in and out of our feelings. So much soul and passion in an effortless manner, this party had everything.

Sphectacula & DJ Naves took it up a notch (as expected) by playing urban hip hop, like Strings and Bling, and having us Crank It to Soulja Boy and many other classics. Before you could blink, the Yanos snuck in, eventually leading us out with their KOTW anthem and their latest banger, Okokoko! The show was trending on both nights as people were talking about #Lockdownhouseparty throughout the weekend. This genuinely something for the history books. Give your country the honour of staying home but do yourself the massive favour of staying home in style and party with Channel O as we await the 3rd and final installment of the Lockdown Party!
